About Us

Arena_32

Southern Cross Ranch is a great facility dedicated to boarders. We have a 12 stall barn attached to our indoor arena. We have 17 pastures for boarding. We have an outdoor arena equipped with a full course of jumps and lights and also an open arena with barrels and trail obstacles. We have several miles of trails along the Omussee Creek. There are 3 round pens and a horse walker available for boarder use.

Diane is the owner/manager. She graduated in 2007 from Auburn University with her Equine Science degree. Which includes education in productions, nutrition, and equine management and training and coaching. She schedules all the events that are held at Southern Cross Ranch, and manages the finances. She manages the nutrition and deworming schedule for all horses at SCR. She also keeps up the website and facebook page.

One of the businesses at the ranch is "Ranch Feed" and they sell the "Nutrena" brand horse and dog food, as well as "Alabama Steer Power" show cow feed. Terry helps keep everything situated in the grounds department; cutting trails, moving dirt, establishing pastures, and disking the arena for shows. Elizabeth their daughter, her husband David, and their daughter Lori Jane have been lots of help in our extra activities.

They can keep you occupied for a short trail ride, one that takes you all day, or anything in between. You will pass trees so big it takes more than three people to reach around them and encounter creeks that flow gently beside the trails. The trails are blanketed by a covering of trees above that only accent the natural beauty and peaceful setting.

Trail_Course_Competition_081At Southern Cross Ranch we strive very hard to meet the needs and desires of our boarders, students, advertisers, and customers. But above all we strive to stay true to our christian values, and close to God. Without Him, none of these opportunties would be presented.
