Bandits Mounted Shooting

The Bama Bandits Boot Camp went great! We had a bunch of people show up and they learned the proper way to train your horse and yourself to shoot and run the course. There were all kinds of horses and riders, and everyone did great! We hope to get more interest in the sport, so we can start hosting competitions. It is the fastest growing equine sport! Thats because its so much fun!!

The participants learned safety procedures for their horses and themselves. Ear plugs are used for the horses because the guns are loud, however live ammunition is NOT used! EVER! All that is used is black powder. But as with anything else, it can be dangerous if safety procedures are not followed.

There is an course with 10 targets. You may walk, trot, canter, or gallop the course. Each target has a balloon that you shoot, it only counts if you pop the balloon. And you are timed.

We would like to thank everyone that came out and participated. Also, we would like to thank Mr. Dennis Geer for putting it together, and thank you to everyone who helped out!!
