Well September has come and gone and Southern Crossfire got back in full swing with the Xtreme Horsemanship Clinic put on by Eric and Sharyl Anderson, followed by a 4 stage match. For the second year Southern Crossfire hosted the Alabama State Championship. We welcomed shooters from all over the State of Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee and one family from the State of Texas. We had a total of 32 shooters for the Friday night warm up and 51 total shooters for the Main match on Friday and Saturday. Our grand entry was led by our own "Woody and Willie" bringing in Old Glory and Grand Marshall for the morning was Mary Jeffers from Jeffers Vet Supply. They led the parade of shooters around the arena for our opening prayer and National Anthem. And then to get things started on the right foot Mary fired the first shot to start our competition. It was started with our Calvary class with 3 competitors, Greg Jackson, Seth Clemmons and Ed Kilpatrick - results listed in the link below.
An absolutely fun filled weekend with 51 different cowboy mounted shooters, 5 wranglers, all ready to have fun and compete for the title of the Alabama champ! Then we started off Saturday morning with our Grand Entry Captain Thomas Block led the way with the American flag and the Calvary class followed, then the Alabama flag and shooters after that. They were signed up for a clinic with "Outlaw" Annie Bianco, CMSA match and to participate in a "Wild West Show". After much consideration Terry decided he would join in on the fun for the CMSA match. There were 52 shooters from level 1 to level 6.
